by Legal DesireMarch 21, 2018

The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition, seeking a court-monitored probe into an alleged Staff Selection Commission (SSC) paper leak case. The petition was filed by lawyer Manohar Lal Sharma, to sought an investigation into the leak of question paper of Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II) Examination 2018.

The counsels for Respondents told Supreme Court that the C.B.I. has registered Preliminary Enquiry No. PE AC-1/2018 A0004 on 08.03.2018 against unknown officers/officials of Staff Selection Commission, Government of India and other unknown persons for misconduct.

The Court dismissed the petition on the grounds that the C.B.I. is undertaking the investigation and will conclude the same in accordance with
law. Therefore, no order on this petition is required at this stage.
