The Karnataka police arrested two men on charges of allegedly raping a minor, recording it on their smartphone, and circulating the video footage on WhatsApp.
According to the police, auto driver Parashuram (21) and helper Bharama (19) accompanied the victim (15) on a picnic in Kottur town in Ballari district on November 5. After taking her to an isolated place outside the town, they allegedly raped her and recorded it on their smartphone. They threatened her against revealing the incident to her parents.
Apparently, Parashuram and the girl were dating and the victim did no suspect him when he invited her for a picnic. However, when the rape video surfaced, the victim’s parents were horrified. Later, they lodged a police complaint on the basis of which the two men were arrested on Sunday.
